Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa Scholarship: Supporting Education and Opportunity in Liberia

The Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa (GPFA) offers a strong and inclusive scholarship program designed to remove the barriers that prevent children and young people from accessing quality education in Liberia and beyond. The program focuses on academic support, personal development, and long-term success, especially for girls and vulnerable learners.

A 360-Degree Scholarship Approach

GPFA’s scholarship program goes beyond paying school fees. It provides 360-degree support, which includes:

African Youth Education Initiative (AYEI)

Scholarships for Persons with Disabilities

Who Can Apply

Scholarships are awarded based on:

• Academic performance (Grade B or 85 percent and above)

Scholarship recruitment periods run from:

• January 3–29
• July 1–31

Applications are also accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applicants are encouraged to visit the GPFA office and submit an application letter along with photocopies of required documents, including academic transcripts, report cards, and a recent passport-size photograph.
