30 Young Africans Accepted into the Aspire Leaders Program
30 young people mentored by LESSAT Africa across Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, and Liberia have been accepted into Cohort 3 of the Aspire Leaders Program, gaining access to leadership and global opportunities.

Every so often, a moment reminds us why the work we do matters. This August, LESSAT Africa is celebrating one of those moments: 30 young people we mentored across Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, and Liberia have been accepted into Cohort 3 of the Aspire Leaders Program.
What Is the Aspire Leaders Program?
The Aspire Leaders Program is a fully funded, global leadership initiative run by Aspire Institute, designed to reach first-generation and limited-income learners around the world. The program combines leadership development, mentorship, and international networking, giving young people access to opportunities that many would otherwise never reach.
For learners across our regional network, this kind of access can be life-changing not just a certificate, but a genuine pathway into global community, confidence, and opportunity.
LESSAT-Africa’s Role
As an Aspire Collaborator, LESSAT-Africa mentored young people across our regional presence in Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, and Liberia through the application process helping them understand the program’s value, guiding them in preparing strong applications, and encouraging them not to count themselves out.
That mentorship paid off. 30 learners we supported were accepted into Cohort 3, and they are now beginning their studies as part of this global cohort.
This outcome reflects exactly what LESSAT-Africa stands for: identifying capable young people across the continent, especially those who might not otherwise have access, and mentoring them toward real opportunity.
Why This Matters
Across Africa, young people continue to face real barriers to education and workforce readiness poverty, limited infrastructure, and gaps between what students learn and what the modern world demands. Programs like Aspire don’t solve every part of that challenge, but they open a door. They tell a young person: your background does not define your ceiling.
For the 30 learners now part of Cohort 3 representing Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, and Liberia this is more than a program. It’s proof that mentorship and opportunity, combined, can change a trajectory.

Cohort 4 Applications Are Now Open
If this story inspires you or if you know a young person ready for their own opportunity the timing couldn’t be better. Applications for Cohort 4 of the Aspire Leaders Program are open now, through October 16, 2026. Starting with this cohort, the program runs a shorter, more manageable 6 weeks, while keeping the same curriculum and outcomes.
Eligible learners can apply in just 10 minutes. And if you’d like mentorship through your application, LESSAT-Africa is here to help that’s exactly what we do as an Aspire Collaborator.

Congratulations to Our 30 Learners
To every young person we mentored and who was accepted into Cohort 3 across Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, and Liberia congratulations. This is the beginning of something bigger, and we’re proud to have walked this journey with you.
LESSAT-Africa remains committed to mentoring African youth toward opportunities like this because when one door opens, we believe it should open for many more.
