Empowering Africa’s Next Generation of Social Innovators

Applications are now open for the 2026 LEAP Africa Social Innovators Programme (SIP), a transformative fellowship designed to support young African changemakers who are building solutions to some of the continent’s biggest challenges.

The Social Innovators Programme is a 9-month fellowship that equips early-stage social entrepreneurs with the knowledge, mentorship, networks, and practical tools needed to grow sustainable and impactful enterprises. Over the past 13 years, the programme has supported more than 294 innovators across 14 African countries, helping them create meaningful change in their communities.

Participants will receive intensive training in areas such as social innovation, leadership, funding strategies, impact measurement, governance, and market growth. Fellows will also benefit from mentorship opportunities, networking sessions, and access to investors and policymakers.

The fellowship welcomes young Africans between the ages of 18 and 35 who are leading social enterprises focused on sectors including education, technology, agriculture, climate action, renewable energy, workforce development, and community transformation.
This programme continues to serve as a powerful platform for young innovators who are passionate about creating lasting social impact across Africa.
